How to Make Your Custom Home a Reality in 2015
January 6, 2015We want to help make the homes our customers’ dreams about building a reality in the New Year. As a general contractor in Marion County, we at Luetgert Development know it can be challenging to begin the journey of building a custom home, but we’re here to help. If you are interested in building a new home, here are some steps you can take to get the process started.
Make a List of Do’s and Don’ts
You can picture your dream house in your head, and now it’s time to put it down on paper. What are the must-haves on your list? How many bedrooms and bathrooms are you envisioning? Do you want an open-concept floor plan? What does your ideal kitchen look like? Then make another list for home design trends, layouts or fixtures you do not like. These lists are a big help when working with your architect and general contractor.
Pick a Community
When we build a custom home, we want you to stay and enjoy it for years to come. So the next step is deciding where you want to live. As we mentioned in our previous article, it is important to pick the right neighborhood for your family. Think about the school district, safety, commute to work and amenities when you are browsing through various communities. If you need any guidance during your decision-making process, let us know.
Call Luetgert Development
Now that you have a plan in place for your custom home, it’s time to call Luetgert Development. We’re always here to answer your home building questions and steer you in the right direction. Let us help you take the next steps. We will help you interview architects, find vendors and subcontractors that are perfect for your home.
