Here at Luetgert Development we want to help you build the home of your dreams. This includes helping you make the best memories in your new home. Outdoor parties are in full swing for the summer and if you like entertaining here are some tips to help keep your guests cool during your event this summer.

Ideas for Keeping Your Guests Cool

Make a Splash

Add a note on your party invitations for guests to bring their bathing suits. Water always makes for a fun time and is a quick way to cool down guests during hot summer days.

Plan on Shade

Having a built-in patio cover or awning in your backyard gives your guests an area to stay cool. If you do not have a cover built in for shade you can set up a canopy to provide temporary shade.

Drinks and Ice

Make sure to have plenty of ice and cool drinks on hand. When the weather is hot, cool drinks with ice will help keep your guests cool during your party.

Cold Food Items

Serve cold food items like fresh cut fruit, vegetables and finger foods like cheese and cold cuts. These items can also easily be placed on skewers for ease of enjoying. Just make sure to keep all food on ice.

Outdoor Fans

There’s nothing like a cool summer breeze flowing through your hair to help cool you down in summer. When you don’t have control over the weather, you can improvise and make sure you have outdoor fans turned on for your guests. Fans will provide a nice breeze for your guests.

Patio Mister

Nothing says summer like a cool mist of water with a cool breeze to follow. Patio Misters are a great combination to use with outdoor fans.

As with any beautiful tropical weather area, we need to be prepared. During the summer months we usually have daily rain, you should have a back-up plan for guests. In case of unexpected rainfall, it’s a good idea to have a canopy or an area inside your home for guests to wait until the rain has stopped. Luckily our afternoon tropical rain pours are usually temporarily and do not last long.
