Fall is finally here, bringing changes to our scenery and some cooler weather. It’s the perfect time to gather the kids, go outside and enjoy some family-bonding time! Here at Luetgert Development, we understand the importance of getting everyone together and enjoying some quality time. In this post, we’ll go over some ideas to help you plan the perfect family activity.

Plan a Backyard Picnic

Fall Home Entertainment Ideas – Part 1

The weather is finally cool enough where you can sit on your porch and decompress from a hard day at work. Take advantage of this and plan for a picnic with your family! You can get the kids involved and have them create the menu. If they’re older, you can even have them help you prepare the food and get the picnic basket ready. Enjoying a picnic in your backyard is the best way to bond with your family and create amazing memories.

Get Competitive with Yard Games

If your children are into sports, fall is the perfect time to plan a family-wide competition.  If you have a large backyard, you can also get creative on the types of games you put together. You can make it simple and plan for a single weekend, or go all out with a whole month worth of games. If you have a large family, you can create a winner’s bracket and turn it into your family’s very own March Madness fall edition!

Start Decorating Your Home

Fall is a great time to decorate. There are various holidays and events taking place the last three months of the year; take advantage of this and spend some decorating time with your kids! You can spend a weekend brainstorming for the perfect Halloween decorations or spend several weeks planning your upcoming decorations for the holidays. Creating personalized decorations is not only a great way to get the family together, but you will also make great memories with everyone!

The Luetgert family understands the value of spending quality time with your children. That is why fall is the perfect season to set time aside for your family. There are countless opportunities out there that you can take advantage of. Depending on where you live, your community might also have activities taking place for everyone in the neighborhood.
