Luetgert In the Community: 3rd Annual ICE Walk

November 19, 2014

Our team enjoys participating in charitable events benefiting local organizations. In this edition of Luetgert In the Community, we wanted to share an event that we participated in. On Saturday, November 8, 2014, the Institute of Cardiovascular Excellence (ICE) held its 3rd annual ICE Walk, benefiting the Humane Society of Marion County and the South Lake Animal League.

Goals of the ICE Walk

While the walk benefitted our furry friends, it also promoted health and wellness for all participants. What better way to support both goals than to get people moving while raising money? As Dr. Asad U. Qamar stated in a letter to potential sponsors, “Our goal at the Institute of Cardiovascular Excellence has always been to help as many people as we can by spreading the message of good health practices as well as providing treatment to those in immediate need. Our mission is to partner with our community friends and neighbors in supporting cardiovascular health.”

3rd Annual Ice Walk for the Marion County Humane Society

The day included a pet costume contest, Marion County sheriff’s K-9 demonstrations and the opportunity to adopt a pet.

As a Top Dog sponsor for the event, we chose to donate to the Marion County Humane Society. Luetgert Development sponsored the event along with many other businesses and media publications. HealthyLiving Magazine, Lake-Sumter Style Magazine, Ocala Style Magazine, Ocala Magazine, Ocala’s Good Life Magazine and Health & Wellness Magazine were some of the sponsors.
