Luetgert In the Community: 3rd Annual Saltwater Classic

We are proud to share a cause that our owner, Chris Luetgert participates in and sponsors every year, the 3rd Annual Saltwater Classic, benefitting the Florida Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation. Congrats to Chris for winning this year’s tournament which took place on October 4, 2014!
Event Information
The founder of the foundation is a local attorney, Trip Green, and the tournament is in honor of his son. Every year, the captains meet at 6:45 a.m. at Pete’s Pier Marina in Crystal River, and the tournament begins at 7 a.m. Weigh is at 2 p.m. at Pete’s Pier Marina with a shore lunch to follow. The cost to enter is $150 per boat.
Tournament Rules
Participants are judged on their ability to catch the biggest fish in different categories. Here are the rules:
- Each boat can weigh in a catch of (5) legal trout (1) over 20 inches (limit may be subject to a change in the law) cash prizes for first and second place.
- Each boat can weigh in a catch of (2) legal redfish (limit may be subject to a change in the law) cash prizes for first and second place.
- Cash prize will also be given for biggest fish.
Each year, the winner gives back their winnings to the foundation. We are happy to support this great cause!
